Dane Power ("we", "us", or "our") provides the DPLogger and DPHeader Android applications. This Privacy Policy explains how these applications handle user information.

Information Used by the Apps

DPLogger and DPHeader may require the user to provide an email address and a Company ID in order to obtain the correct internal User ID required for application functionality.

• Email address: used only to identify and verify the correct User ID.
• Company ID: a code representing the customer's company and not intended to identify an individual person.
• User ID: an internal identifier used by the applications for their intended functionality.

How Information Is Processed

When verification is required, the app temporarily transmits the email address and Company ID to the Dane Power verification service using an encrypted HTTPS connection. The service checks the information against existing records and returns the corresponding User ID to the app.

The verification request is processed only for the purpose of completing that specific lookup. The apps do not use the submitted email address for advertising, marketing, analytics, or profiling.

The verification request does not create a new user record or update existing user information as part of the lookup process.

Data Sharing

Dane Power does not sell, rent, or share user information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Information transmitted for User ID verification is sent only to the Dane Power verification service for application functionality.

Advertising and Analytics

DPLogger and DPHeader do not display advertisements and do not use the Android Advertising ID for advertising purposes. The apps do not use the submitted email address or User ID for advertising or marketing.

Other Data

The apps do not collect location information, contacts, financial information, health information, messages, photos, videos, audio recordings, calendar data, or similar personal information for transmission to Dane Power.

Data Security

Information used for User ID verification is transmitted using HTTPS encryption while in transit. Reasonable measures are used to protect information handled by the verification process.

Data Retention and Deletion

The apps do not create a new server-side record from the verification request. The email address supplied for verification is used to retrieve the corresponding User ID from existing records.
